Teaching your child how to use the toilet is a parenting rite of passage.
You will have to tackle it at some point and the GREAT news is that ultimately…
Mastering the potty comes easier and faster for some children than others.
It is a developmental milestone and like any other, your child will learn with your commitment and support as you teach them.
But unfortunately for parents, teaching potty training is not an instinct or skill we are born with.
We don’t have memories of how WE were potty trained to use as a jumping off point to teach our own children.
And so IT’S NATURAL to feel clueless, overwhelmed and fearful of starting because heck, you don’t know HOW to teach your child…YET!
Not knowing how, where or when to start can be scary because as parents we don’t want to struggle or fail at teaching our children this essential skill.
This can lead to avoiding the process entirely in the hopes that one day your child will just somehow “be ready”.
Also complicating the situation is that potty training has taken on an undertone of PRESSURE.
And then there’s ALL the stories from proud parents whose kids were potty trained over a weekend…
And you just want that too!
It can be difficult not to compare stories or experiences, but it’s so important to remember that when or how long your child takes to potty train is NOT a measurement of your parenting.
If you or your child are ready to get started but you want to say NO to:
Ditch the Diapers is a perfect fit for you if you want to stop circling the drain and instead CONFIDENTLY teach your child to use the toilet…without pressure, drama or second-guessing.
Investing in Ditch the Diapers lets you:

Not all kids just “learn to stay dry at night” without some training. In this guide you will learn to recognize when your child is ready to ditch the nighttime diapers and confidently encourage your little one to stay dry all night long!
Our stubborn son was taking over the house with his tantrums over potty training. I was at the end of my rope when I called for potty training help. I am so thankful for the support and plan they gave us. It was SO much more than just potty training.
They really helped me understand my son and his fear of releasing on the toilet. We now have a confident 4 year old who now tells us when he needs to go and even takes himself to the toilet! One happy momma!

After drowning in books and methods I decided to give Ashley a call. I was confused because my 2 year-old was clearly ready but I was not sure if she was too young.
The program worked great. In one weekend we had officially said good-bye to diapers and I wasn’t weighed down but what I should and shouldn’t do. Skip the internet and call them! You wont regret it.

My child is independent, strong willed, etc. Will this program work for them?
Your child’s personality will likely be on steroids while potty training. You’ll need to be cool and calm. Change is scary and your child probably had a diaper on their bum before they had a breast or bottle to their mouth. Taking that security away can be unsettling. It’s your job to make them feel safe, even if their behaviour is making your head spin! Don’t worry…we will help you through it!
When is the best time to teach my child?
Around 20-30 months is the best time to potty train any child. They are capable, they are starting to exercise independence, and often showing interest in the toilet. They are still in the eager-to-please stage! This is when you should be considering giving potty training your best effort.
What outcomes can I expect?
Ultimately we want children to have autonomy over their bodily functions. We want families to feel confident in leaving the house, that there won’t be accidents and that they no longer have to invest in diapers!
Can I get on a call with someone if I have questions?
Yes! We are happy to support you with your unique situations with phone calls, emails and text messages in our additional support packages.
How do I know if my child is ready?
We will include a handy guide to help you establish when your child is ready. For most children, this is between 20-30 months.
How much time does this take? Can this be done in a weekend like I hear so many people talking about?
We don’t like to put hard deadlines on children going through these milestones since every child learns differently but for some it really can be as little as 3 days and for others, we might be working on this for up to a month.
Is there a guarantee?
No. We guarantee your child will be potty trained at some point, but it depends so greatly on when you start and your expectations. I hear all the time parents putting their children in pull ups to go to the store or daycare after having potty trained or resorting back to diapers because they had a couple of accidents. These are variables that I cannot control and they do unfortunately impact your child’s ability to learn to be diaper-free for good. What I DO guarantee is you’ll have our support, private help options and every tool we have available to help you be successful. The rest is up to you! 🙂
What if I’ve missed my child’s “window”?
Do not worry. This is not a hopeless cause! But you may need to expect a little more resistance and you will need to give your little one more time to adjust to the changes. Really it’s all about setting realistic expectations. Start NOW!
In the next few minutes you’ll be set up in our exclusive members area, diving into the Get-To-It Guide. And after reading through the guide, you’ll have more clarity and confidence about potty training your child than 24 hours of straight Googling!

Just like learning to use the toilet is an important milestone in your child’s life, being there to help them succeed at it is an important milestone for you as their parent.
