How could my family benefit from an in-home sleep trainer?
Hiring an in-home sleep trainer can feel like a luxury, in truth, the families we have had the pleasure of supporting over the last 5 years have benefitted from the service for a magnitude of reasons. Here are just some of the reasons we have supported families with our in-home sleep training options
- Suffering extreme sleep deprivation
- Single parents
- Parents of multiples
- Baby’s with health challenges that need additional observation and a plan that supports their unique needs and care plan
- Families suffering from Postpartum Depression, Postpartum Anxiety, PTSD
- Wanting a gentle and loving sleep solution for their little one without the worry of whether they are doing it right or if their baby is having a “normal” response
- Needing additional support with breast/bottle feeding, food introduction, weaning guidance and/or assistance with sleep while managing infant colic/reflux
What will In-Home Sleep Training look like?
Our sleep trainer will arrive in the late afternoon to meet your family and get to know you all. We take time to evaluate your situation, your current habits and routines, and the layout of the nursery or sleep area. From there we will walk you through what bedtime will look like and then begin to implement it that evening at bedtime.
Depending on your current situation and how many days/nights of support you chose, you have the option to take the night off and let us handle the tough stuff or even escape to a hotel and rest for a night! OR you can participate fully right from the get-go and we will support you right away with implementing the program.
We keep detailed notes and observations so that you feel connected to the progress your baby is making. We handle all the night wake-ups (unless you are keeping a breastfeed in which case we will get you for this piece) allowing you to get some much-deserved rest.
During the day we help care for your baby, give you information and advice on what comes next with developmental milestones and support you on any other challenges you might be facing in parenthood.
The goal over the next couple of days will be to start working you all back into the sleep routines and building your confidence to implement the plan without us there.
By the time we leave, we have laid a solid foundation for sleep and built your confidence to continue implementing what you learned with our support remotely.
This is the reason many of our families choose a minimum of 3 nights (72hour package). This gives us enough time to mostly resolve the nights and be on our way to getting the naps established. Leaving you with more sleep at night and feeling rested enough to handle the daytime.
Parenting is hard, it’s okay to get help in any way that best suits your situation. If you want to chat about In-Home options please contact Ashley Lohse or Debbie Pacheco.
